My concentration is in mathematical biology. I am particularly interested in using mathematical modeling to study the cellular dynamics and physical consequences of diseases. I have experience modeling using differential equations, statistical regression, and machine learning algorithms.

It is my goal to use mathematical modeling to better the lives of Black women and men who are disproportionately affected by health disparities and to help improve access to resources for care. In accordance with these goals, I have recently begun working with a team on a research project that aims to predict pediatric sickle cell patient pain episodes. I have also worked on interdisciplinary research teams cleaning, analyzing, and utilizing data to investigate the effects of prime supporters on college student mental health and academic success. I aim to continue to participate in community-driven research.
